Walter Marion Langley
July 16, 1945 – September 2, 2024
FUQUAY VARINA – Walter M. Langley, 79, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on September 2, 2024. He was born in Johnston Co. to the late Thurman Floyd & Bessie Adams Langley
Walter worked with the NCDOT for more than 30 years as a Computer Systems Analyst. He also worked many years as an IT Consultant.
Walter had an incredibly huge heart with lots of love to give and share. He left so many loved ones in an unbelievable state of grief, however, he will live forever in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Brown Langley; brother, James Floyd Langley; sister, Myra Langley Johnson; step grandson, Kenneth “Trey” Thompson, III.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Langley; step daughter, Kimberly Hale (Brian); step granddaughter, Cassidy Leach (Mike); step grandson, Austin Thompson (Brittany); 3 step great grandchildren, Kaleigh Thompson, Aria Thompson and Miles Leach; brother, Thelbert Langley; sisters, Jackie Byrd (Donald) and Linda Proctor (Steve); many nieces, nephews and cousins and his special dog, Coco. He had a passion for horses, especially his own Blair.
Memorial service will be in the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory chapel on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:00pm with a memorial visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be given to a charity of ones choosing.
