Susan Clark Smith
November 9, 1953 – April 23, 2015
On Thursday, April 23, in the year of our Lord, 2015, He recalled one of His angels, Susan Smith. Susan was born on November 9, 1953 in St Helens, Lancaster, England to James L & Doreen Tickle Clark. Sue had a love of reading but not just reading of books themselves-the smell and feel instead of a computer and loved gardening. Sue had a love of her dogs, Modu and SuSue. She loved the flea markets, consignment stores and thrift stores and the hunt for a good deal but I have seen her tell people the amount that they were asking was way too low and would not take advantage of them. Sue loved Jewelry. She was preceded in death by her husband Newell H. Smith, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Devin Smith (Sean Maurice), and the man whom considered her the love of his life, Rick Barnes, siblings Gavin Clark (Chris) and Keith Clark.
In lieu of flowers and following one of her favorite practices, go to your bank and obtain $2.00 bills and hand them out to people with whom you have never met but have done some act of kindness or good deed in your daily life and remember her. A small prayer is also good. Thank you.
