Robert William Murphy, Jr.
November 17, 1958 – May 7, 2015
ZEBULON – Robert William Murphy, Jr. 56, died Thursday with his family by his side. He was son to the late Robert William & Peggy Davis Murphy, Sr. He was one of the most honest and respectful men you’d ever meet, truly a loyal friend. He loved sports and was a Star Trek, Hurricanes, Panthers, and NC State Fan. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Tommy Murphy, Cindy Murphy Ennis Hough.
He is survived by his wife Debra Ann Anderson of the home, siblings, John J. Murphy (Fiancé, Jean Griffin) of Middlesex & Kim Murphy-Jordan (Gary) of Zebulon, nephews, Steve E. Ennis, Jr., Jeffrey C. Hough (Crystal), Seth D. Murphy, nieces, Melissa B. Hough, Serena J. Frazee, & great niece, Rachel C. Hough.
Memorial service 3 pm, Monday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 1:30 pm – 3 pm, prior to the service and other times at Kim’s home, 4767 Massey Rd., Zebulon.
