Rev. Haywood Price
June 11, 1923 – June 26, 2015
Rev. Haywood Price, age 92, of Zebulon, NC, formerly of Williamston, NC, passed peacefully and joyfully through the gates of Heaven on Friday evening, June 26, 2015. He was born in Martin County, NC, to the late Ira S. and Marybet Whichard Price.
Rev. Price was a strong man, who had served his Lord faithfully through his years of ministry in the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a master brickmason who left his legacy in many houses and buildings throughout Martin and the neighboring counties.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Flossie, their 4 children, Carol Brown (A.J.), Pat Tart (Eddie), Sandy Trippe (Sonny), and Tim Price (Stacy); 5 grandchildren, Trey Tart (Janet), Lee Tart Alford, Shaun Price (Joy), Will Price, and Jordan Ashley and 9 great-grandchildren, Justin Tart, Rebecca Tart, Ryan Alford, Jackson Trippe, Augustine Price, Jane Price, Hugh Price, Layla Beth Price, and Skyler Price; and his siblings, Peggy Barber, Ira S. Price, Jr., and Preston Price.
The family would like to recognize and offer grateful thanks to the caregivers of Zebulon House for these last few years of tender and loving care provided to him and to Transitions for their assistance during these last few weeks.
The family will receive visitors at the home of Sonny and Sandy Trippe.

A celebration of Rev. Price’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1000 N. Haughton Street, Williamston, NC, at 3:00 p.m., with family visitation prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
