February 25, 1916 – January 21, 2016

ZEBULON – Percy William Hocutt, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday after an extraordinary life.  A native of Johnston County he was son to the late Costa William Hocutt, Sr., & Annie Narron Hocutt.  He served in the U. S. Army Medical Corp during WWII and was in Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge.  Percy was a farmer’s farmer who loved every bit of the farm life.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Vermon Hocutt, Earlie Hocutt, Sadie Braswell.

He is survived by siblings, Costa William Hocutt, Jr. & wife Verlia Creech Hocutt of Wilson, Crettie Hocutt Hall of Zebulon, and many loving nieces & nephews.

Funeral service will be 3 pm, Monday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 1:30 -3 pm prior to the service.  Entombment will be 11 am, Tuesday, Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.  www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
