Michael “Mike” Lee Prince

November 27, 1946 – June 3, 2021

WENDELL – Michael “Mike” Lee Prince, 74, passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021. He was born in Wilson County to the late Dewey L. Prince & Ruth Prince. Michael served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded with an Army Commendation Medal. He worked with the Department of Transportation as a Mechanic for several years; he loved working on cars. Michael will be remembered by many as an honest and giving man.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Wall Prince of the home, daughters, Christy Kay (Butch) of Zebulon, Shannon Russell (Curt) of Wendell, brother, Milton Prince (Sandra) of Belhaven, grandchildren, Ty Kay, Taylor Kay, Lane Deese, Waverly Russell, and his beloved dog, Chloe.

Visitation, 1:30-2:45pm, Tuesday, Clydes Chapel Baptist Church, 16657 Buffalo Rd, Wendell. Funeral service, 3pm, Tuesday, Clydes Chapel Baptist Church. Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. www.stricklandfuneral.com.

    We are sorry to hear that Mike passed away. We are praying for everyone in the family. Edith, you and Mike have always meant so much to us, especially when we were next door neighbors. We loved seeing all of the classic cars Mike worked on. We will miss him.

    I’m so sorry for your loss Prince family , he will be missed no doubt. But he was loved by so many .
    I consider Mike family he took me in and became a very important figure to me and showed life skills I still hold dear to me

    I am just learning of Mike’s passing, so sorry to see that. Mike was my cousin and born the same year. I always enjoyed t6alking with him. Praying for comfort to the family because God has a plan for us all.
