Merle was a very special person….I have known her since 1962 when I went to work for WETC. Radio Station. She and Mr. Kirby will always have a special place in my heart. May God grant you all comfort and peace during time of sorrow.

MRS Kirby has been a friend to me and my family since I was in her 2nd grade class 1969. She and my mom, Libby Peebles taught together at Wendell Elementary for all those years and were friends until my mom passed in 2002. MRS Kirby used to come see me at my work and always brought me my favorite desert and would visit with me. I loved those talks! She was oh so special and beautiful! She will be greatly missed!❤️

    Terri and Family

Merle had a loving, kind, gentle soul and she loved to read. She and mom (Jo) used to trade (7) day books from the Library they both read so fast. I’m sure mom’s waiting for her w/all the Bestsellers! Sometimes death is not the worst thing. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.. Love you.
