Mark Ivor Basham
August 29, 1961 – October 21, 2014
ZEBULON – Mark Ivor Basham, 53, died Tuesday. He was a native of Scranton, PA but was a resident of Zebulon for the last 14 years. Mark worked for Lucas Enterprises. Mark was devoted to his family, had an incredible sense of humor, and loved fishing, golfing, and his “man cave”.
Funeral service 2 pm, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow at 4:30 pm in White Plains United Methodist Church 313 Se Maynard Rd, Cary.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Vickie Glasey Basham of the home, parents; Alfred James & Patricia Boltin Basham, siblings; James Richard Basham (Terry) of Atlanta, GA, Jeffrey Alan Basham of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, father-in-law; Fred Glassey, brother-in-law; Allan Glassey (Theresa) of Havelock, sister-in-law; Lisa Barna (Matthew) of St. Albans, WV, nieces & nephews; Allison Basham, James Richard Basham, Jr., Cherise Thomas (Jarrod), Amber Barrna, Bobbie Wilson (Shane), Jessica Dendetti, Christopher Barna, and Nikki Williams.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Susan G. Komen foundation.
Visitation 6 – 7:30 pm, Friday, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
