Mark Henderson Whitley

ZEBULON – Mark Henderson Whitley, 67, loving husband and father and a son of God, passed on from this life in his home in the presence of his family on February 6, 2024. He was born in Wake County to the late Henderson Uriah & Mildred Hagwood Whitley. Mark knew his way around Hondas and under the hood, as he was a knowledgeable mechanic. Mark was also a deacon at his church, where he was known for his amazing voice. He blessed many, taught willingly, spreading the gospel with each chance he could get. Although his time here was short, he left a long lasting impact on all that he had the pleasure of knowing. Mark will be missed, was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

A Memorial service will be on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Union Chapel Baptist Church, 2437 Zebulon Rd., Zebulon NC at 2:00pm, with a memorial visitation from 12:30pm to 2:00pm prior to service.

He is survived by his amazing wife of nearly 24 years, Teresa Driver Whitley; his daughter, Kristy Adams and his granddaughter, Kamdyn Adams.

Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to Union Chapel Baptist Church.

Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. www.stricklandfuneral.com

Teresa we are so very sorry about Mark. He was such a nice guy who will be missed by many. We’re thankful for all the times he worked on our Honda. And we are still enjoying the CRV we bought from y’all. We always enjoyed hearing him sing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers as God gives you the strength, comfort and peace that only He can give. ❤️ Kevin and Sharon
