MARJORIE MURRAY BOTTOMS
June 25, 1925 – May 19, 2014
KNIGHTDALE – Marjorie Murray Bottoms, 88, died Monday. A native of Wake County she was daughter to the late Julius “J.R.” Relmon & Eva Bryant Murray. She worked at R. H. Downey. She was a member of the Eastern Star over 60 years and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Bottoms, and son, Larry Bottoms.
She is survived by her son, David Bottoms (Betty) of Lucama, daughter, Martha Ruffin of Zebulon, brothers, Harold Murray & wife, Shelby Jean of Raleigh, Frank, Murray of Zebulon, sister, Helen Jean Tawney of Raleigh, grandchildren, James Kemp Ruffin, Darren Rex Ruffin, Shirley McLland, 2 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren & 2 step great grandchildren, a niece, and special daughter, Louise Finch
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
A memorial service will be held 3 pm, Thursday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 2-3 pm prior to the service.
