WENDELL – Karen Dixon Parker, 44, died Sunday morning surrounded by her family. She attended East Wake High School, a graduate of Hardbarger’s Jr. College and Meredith College. Karen loved her family and life.
Funeral service will be held 1 pm Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery beside her beloved “Pap” Donnie Hall.
She is survived by her sons, Dillon and Christian Parker and their father Steve Parker all of Wendell; parents, Tommy and Lorraine Dixon of Zebulon; sister, Traci Gay and husband Shane of Zebulon; brothers, Darin Dixon of Wendell and Mike Dixon and wife Phyllis of Morrisville; maternal grandmother, Thelma “Mamal” Hall of Middlesex; niece, Samantha Gay; nephews, Bret Dixon, Kelby and Caden Gay.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a Scholarship Fund for Dillion and Christian Parker at KS Bank in Wendell.
The family will receive friends 11:00 – 12:30 pm Wednesday prior to the service at Strickland Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tommy and Lorraine Dixon, 1200 Pulley Gordon Rd., Zebulon. www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
