Zebulon – John Franklin Lamb, Sr., 81, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday. He was born in New Bern, Craven County to the late John Gray & Sadie Hardee Lamb. He served his country in the NC National Guard as well as the U. S. Air Force. He retired from Central Prison where he was a guard. He loved his Lord and family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ray Lamb.
Funeral service 11 am, Monday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. Burial 10 am, Tuesday, Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery. (MASKS REQUIRED)
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy Matthews Lamb of the home, sons, John Franklin Lamb, Jr. (Karen), Clifton Douglas Lamb (Tammy), Wallace Lee Lamb (Carol), step-sons, James Scott Dunn (Valerie) & Chad Thomas Dunn, 9 grandchildren & his beloved dog, Frankie.
