Jennifer Chorpenning Hicks, 68, of 33 W. Maggie Ct., died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Baltimore, MD. She worked for many years at Square D as a machine set up operator. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She has a huge love for animals. All that knew her will remember her selfless acts of kindness. She is preceded in death by her husband Bennie “Doc” Hicks and Monsignor Clare O’Dwyer whom she considered her father.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Stahl of WV; daughter, Lynn Hicks of the home; sons, Mark Hicks and special friend, Paige, Jeff Hicks and girlfriend, Anne, Danny Hicks and wife, Ginger Hicks of Wendell; three very special grandchildren, Trey Cheatham, Stormie Hicks, and Jackson Hicks all of Wendell.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the home of Danny and Ginger Hicks, 620 Gaslight Trail, Wendell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family are greatly appreciated, or you can send to Wake Co. SPCA, which was one of her favorite charities.
