WENDELL – James Hunter Akard, 52, died Sunday, a native of San Angelo, TX he was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Akard. He was a good man who loved being with his family. He had a warm smile and a kind heart, always putting others before himself. He enjoyed sharing his faith in the Lord with others. Hunter always had a joke or something witty to keep those around him happy. This gave him joy
Memorial funeral service, 3 pm, Wednesday, Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Potter Wooten & stepfather, Ike of Wendell, siblings, Darryl Blake Akard of Middlesex, Christopher Neal Wooten (April) of Zebulon, fiancée, Rita Massey, and his beloved dog, Bandit.
