Frances Moore Adams

Wendell – Frances Moore Adams, 93, passed away peacefully at Carebridge Assisted Living, Jacksonville, North Carolina, on September 29, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.    A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Algie O’Neal and William Y. Wood.  She worked at FCX and Adams Egg Farm.  Frances was a sweet and kind woman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by husbands, William L. Moore, Jr. and Melvin O. Adams, son, Milton Adams, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Survivors include her sister, Henrie Leigh Hobbs, of Clayton, her daughters, Ann Hall (Jerry) of Cary, Mary Jo Hargett (Hugh) of Jacksonville, Doris Medlin (Pete) of Wendell, sons Bill Adams (Evelyn) of Wendell, Sherwood Adams (Annette) of Wendell and Ricky Adams (Paula) of Jacksonville, Florida, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a very special friend, Ann Johnson of Wendell.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Women’s Missions 1, Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church, 16657 Buffalo Road, Wendell, NC 27591 or to a charity of your choice.

Funeral service 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 2, 2012, Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church, with visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the fellowship hall.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
