EVELYN KNOTT CREECH

May 16, 1918 – September 9, 2010

 

ZEBULON – Evelyn Knott Creech, 92, of 403 N. Wakefield St., died Thursday. A native of Wendell she was daughter to the late Allie Booth & Annie Lee Bullock Knott. Mrs. Creech was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church. She loved her garden and was an excellent cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Ransom Creech, and brother, Charles Knott.

 

Funeral service will be 2 pm, Sunday, Zebulon Baptist Church with burial to follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Wendell.

 

She is survived by her son James “Randy” Ransom Creech , Jr. (Judy) of Haymarket, VA, daughters, Anne Creech White of Zebulon, Judith Creech Pearce (Edward) of Zebulon, her much beloved brother Mr. A. B. Knott, grandchildren, Candace Caldwell (Kevin), Corey Creech, & Edward Pearce III (Lucy), and great grandson, Chandler Pearce.

 

Flowers or memorials to Zebulon Baptist Church Building Fund are welcomed

 

Visitation will be Saturday, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, and other times at the home.
