ETHEL C. BOYKIN
May 1, 1921 – April 8, 2012
WENDELL – Ethel McCall Creech Boykin, 90, went home Easter Sunday. She was formerly of 7550 Applewhite Rd. She was daughter to the late Spurgeon & Geneva McCall Creech. Ethel was a member of Riverside Independent Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class. She was the original Fashionista and a true Southern Belle who loved to keep her flower garden, an immaculate home, and being there for her family. She loved just being home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Vester Boykin, siblings, Josephine Tyner & Randall K. Creech.
Funeral service 11 am, Wednesday, Riverside Independent Baptist Church, Kenly, with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by sisters, Ruth Grey Creech & Mary Creech Wood (Ralph) of Kenly, nephews, Phillip Wood (Pat) of Kenly, Rev. Neil Wood (Lynn) of VA, Eddie Tyner (Barbara) of VA, & Tommy Tyner (Beth) of Hollister, nieces, Brenda Wood Couch (Charles) of Kenly, Melonie Wood of Kenly, Katie Ethridge (Bruce) of Wilmington, Jenny Mayo of Rocky Mount, Myra Adams (Steve) of Angier, Elaine Morris of Southport, & Sharon Talbott (Terry) of Wilmington.
Special sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Hilda, Thelma, & nieces, Josephine, Kathleen, Irene, & Linda Kay.
