Emma Jean Baker Harris

April 26, 1953 – May 20, 2016

WENDELL – Emma Jean Baker Harris, 63, died Friday with her family by her side.  She was born in Franklin County to the late Freddie Millard & Rebecca Estelle Blackley Baker.  Emma worked at Mortex for many years.  She was one of a kind.  She had a great sense of humor and loved her family more than anything.  She faced life without any regrets and was truly loving and humble yet feisty and willing to speak her mind.  She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Baker, brothers, Jessie & Stan Baker, son-in-law, Robert Lee O’Neal, and special aunt, Ethelene Roach

Funeral service 11 am, Monday, Baptist Tabernacle Church with burial to follow at the Baker Family Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jimmy Rex Harris of the home, step children, Scarlette O’Neal, Bonita Harris, & Jimmy “Rex” Harris, Jr., all of Wendell, siblings, Tina Bray (Wayne) of Zebulon, Donna Baker (Walt) of Zebulon, Randy Baker, (Janet) of  Youngsville, Bruce Baker (Ginger) of Zebulon, Rudy Baker (Tammy) of Zebulon, grandchildren, Sarah & Justin O’Neal, , several aunts, uncles, special nieces, & nephews.

Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to either Baptist Tabernacle Church or Heartland Hospice.
