ELVIE O. PHILLIPS

WENDELL – Elvie Owens Phillips, 89, died Saturday. A native of Scranton Co., SC, she was daughter to the late Henry Silas & Addie Carraway Phillips. Elvie was a much beloved mother, sister and grandmother who was always kind spoken with a peaceful spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband William Kearney Phillips, son; Donald Edward Phillips, sister; Elma Lee, brothers; Louie, Buck, Richard Owens.
She is survived by her daughter; Kaye Phillips Boyd of Wendell, son; Charles Wayne Phillips of Spring Hope, sisters Ruby Jordan of Florence, SC, Grace Owens of Effingham, SC, 7 grandchildren, & many great grandchildren.
Graveside service Monday, 1 pm, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.
Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell.
