Earline Raper Creech
December 21, 1934 – February 8, 2024

Earline Raper Creech, 89, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at her home in Zebulon. She was born on December 21, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Lulian Festus and Martha Renfrow Raper. She grew up on the family farm with her 8 siblings.

Earline graduated from Corinth-Holders High School in 1952. She married her husband Billy Ray Creech on November 9, 1952. They were married for 71 years and had 3 children.

She was an active Jehovah’s Witness her entire life, attending meetings with the Raper family at the old Kingdom Hall at Stancils Chapel crossroads as a young girl. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on January 12, 1957. She also attended other congregations in the Raleigh area, and was most recently a member of the Lake Wendell congregation. Her hope of living on a paradise earth and seeing her loved ones resurrected, especially her baby girl and son, kept her going. She was also zealous in her ministry, preaching to others and sharing her hope.

Earline was a skilled southern cook and she enjoyed working outside in her garden and caring for her many plants and flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, even organizing many family reunions. She was especially close to her younger sister, “Earline and Pauline” as she would say.

Earline was preceded in death by her brothers Leslie, Wilton, Roland, Fred, and Russell, her sister Virginia, her son Anthony, and her infant daughter Donna.

Earline is survived by her husband, Billy, her brother Monty, her sister Crystle (Pauline) and husband Keith of Huddleston VA, her sisters-in-law Elsie and Faylene, her son Terry and wife Brenda, her daughter-in-law Jeannine, her grandchildren Jeremy, Stephanie, Melanie and husband Sean, and Allison, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Franklinton, as well as friends for their support.

Funeral service 2 PM, Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St. Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

We will miss her sooooooooo much! We will keep thinking of the loving and fun memories we had with her, until we see her again very soon – in a world where there is no more pain, suffering or even death (Revelation 21:4) We send our love to all of her family and friends.
