Cary – David “Bill” Allen Langley, 70, went home to be with the Lord on May 1. He was born in Wake County to the late David Lee & Carrie Mae Turnage Langley. Bill owned Langley’s Painting Company and was an expert in all facets of his job. He was an amazing dad who was great at telling jokes and he made everyone feel comfortable around him. Bill was the neighborhood dad/papa always being there for anything needed, a good ear, the biggest heart and he loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann Walker Langley. Also preceded by siblings Vernon “Bunny” Langley, William “Buck” Langley, Sue Day, Rosa Fuller, and Gertrude Benson
He is survived by his girls, Tina Pannkuk (Matt) of Cary, Carolyn Langley of Raleigh, siblings, Johnny Langley (Dot) of Garner, Carolyn Whitley (Curtis) of Zebulon, Leona Walker(deceased Roy) of Middlesex, Teresa, Mitchell (Daylon) of Middlesex, grandchildren, Kyle Pannkuk (Kerri), Matthew Pannkuk, & Mattie Pannkuk.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. www.stricklandfuneral.com

This was said so beautifully and so true!! Love to you all!
The video was so beautiful and touching to my heart. Him and Delores meant so very much to me. I always felt the love and felt at home at their house. I’m so so sorry for the Langley family for this is a huge loss for them and all the neighborhood children that always came to his house for a talk with him and Delores. They were truly a blessing to my life and for that I’m forever grateful.
