Cedric Royal

April 22, 1933 – November 19, 2015

ZEBULON – Cedric Royal, 82, went home to the Lord on Thursday with his family at his side.  A native of Sampson County he was son to the late Theodore & Pearl Williams Royal.  He served his country in the U. S. Army.  He worked for A & P Tea Company for many years, for House-Autry for many years as well, and was later the longtime owner of Cleveland Auto Repair Service.  He loved his wife and family more than anything else on earth.  Cedric loved to always be on the go and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Pauline Earp Royal, siblings, Buck, Marvin, Wiley B, Gene, Swinburne, Faye, & Shirrell.                  

He is survived by children, Paula Royal Bunn (Kenneth) of Zebulon, Danny Cedric Royal (Jenny Raper) of Wendell, grandchildren, Shelley Bunn Cagle (Marc), Jeremy Royal (Priya),  great granddaughter, Kiran Royal, siblings Wayne Royal (Brenda) of Spivey’s Corner, Ray Royal (Eva) of Roseboro, Elizabeth Royal of Garner, & Hilda Thompson (Arnold) of Spivey’s Corner.

Funeral service 11 am, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 9:30 am -11 am, prior to the service and other times at the family home.  Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
