Bruce Neal Smith, Sr.
February 28, 1937 – September 1, 2014
WENDELL – Bruce Neal Smith, 77, died on Monday. A native of Wake County he was son to the late Paul Lawrence & Ella Ethelyn Pullen Smith. Bruce worked for Sears and Kimbrell’s Furniture. He loved fishing, playing cards, and was a true Tarheel fan. Bruce loved spending time with his family and that meant the world to him.
He is survived by his children; Bruce Neal Smith, Jr. of Raleigh, Cheryl Upchurch (Robert “Eddie”) of Knightdale, Wendy Masters (David) of Fuquay Varina, sister; Joyce Buchanan of Swansboro, grandchildren; Michael Upchurch (Hannah), Kristen, Eric, & Kelly Masters, Jonathan Smith, Jessica Smith, and great grandchild; Cheyenne Lanning.
A memorial visitation will be held 6pm -7:30 pm, Thursday, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
