BOBBY “CHIEF” CRAWFORD
December 27, 1938 – March 24, 2014
APEX – Bobby Ray Crawford “Chief”, died on Monday. A native of Johnston County he was son to the late George Robert & Bessie Moore Crawford. Chief loved his wife, children, and grandchildren more than anything. He enjoyed gardening, Nascar, and grilling. As a true boat captain, he loved deep sea fishing.. Bobby has an amazing character, truly warm and unpretentious. He was truly a practical joker.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Humphries Crawford, children, Randall Crawford (Talitha) of Clayton, Stacey Crawford of Morehead City, Belinda Seagraves (Wayne) of Apex, Jennifer Raynor (David) of Angier, Kimberly Crawford of Apex, step daughter, Margaret Potter (Kyle), siblings, Jackie Crawford (Faye) of Rolesville, Annie Mae Crawford of Archer Lodge, Margaret Douglas (Jarvis) of Raleigh, Geraldine Satterwhite (Robert) of Wake Forest, Joan Lee (Bill) of Knightdale, Betty Strickland (Allen) of Selma, grandchildren, Daniel, Anna, Emma, Julia, & Jacob, great grandchildren, Daniel, Kaylee, Angela, Bryce, & Noah.
Funeral service 3 pm, Friday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 12-3 pm, prior to the service. Burial, Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
