Betty Tippett Allen Barham
April 30, 1931 – April 24, 2015
MIDDLESEX – Betty Jean Tippett Allen Barham, 83, died Friday with her family by her side. A native of Johnston County she was daughter to the late William & Maggie Thomason Tippett. Betty was a farmer, hardworking and soft spoke. Her family was her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Exum Allen, son, William Floyd Allen, & brother, Weldon Tippett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Owen Barham of the home, daughter-in-law, Janice T. Allen of Zebulon, granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Allen, great grandchildren, Tyler & Jay Lynn Faith Allen, sister-in-law, Kaye Tippett, nephew Terry Tippett (Peggy)
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Friendship Free Will Baptist Church
Funeral service 3 pm, Monday, Friendship Free Will Baptist Church with visitation from 1:30 -3 pm, prior to the service and other times at the home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
