Anne Davis Britt
December 7, 1945 – August 21, 2014
WENDELL – Anne Davis Britt, 68, died Thursday. Born in Forsyth County and reared in the Wallace Rose Hill she was daughter to the late Harry T. & Minnie Lee Lanier Davis. She received her Bachelors from Western Carolina University and her Masters from UNC. Anne was the rock of her family, her husband and children knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them. Anne was a volunteer for Election Day voting at East Wake High School for many years. She also loved flowers, her garden, playing Bridge, but she was a cook like no other with her specialty being the family’s Christmas Beef Wellington.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years; Leon Britt of the home, children; Charles Clell Britt (Sarah Jo) of Leland, NC, Lee Anne Britt & Fiancé (Josh Miller) of Wendell, grandchildren; Coral Schmidt & Fiancé (Nathaniel Linkous), Brandon Miller and Bryan Britt.
A memorial funeral service will be 6 pm, Sunday, Wendell United Methodist Church with the family receiving friends following the service.
Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
