WENDELL – Stephen Lynn Wall, 72, of Wendell, NC, went Home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Mr. Wall was born on December 16, 1953, in Wake County, NC, a son of the late Wayne Wall and Bobbie Lou Maye Wall. Steve was a tobacco farmer for years. He loved to work the land. He enjoyed working outside and later started his landscaping business. Horses were a big part of his life. Steve loved riding and driving the horses and working the fields with his friends. He loved going on wagon train rides and camping out in Virginia with friends. He enjoyed restoring old trucks, cars, and tractors. Every morning you could find him at Mr. G’s getting a honeybun and Pepsi before going to work. And of course chewing tobacco. Then heading to Fleet Fuels to get gas. Catching up on all the things going on in Wendell. He loved his friends and being around people. He enjoyed helping people and showing them how to fix things. He was a blessing in our lives and will be missed beyond words. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Wade Buchanan Wall; a son, David Wall; a daughter, Mary Wall; two grandchildren, McKenleigh and Holden; a brother, Ricky Wall (Lori); a sister, Edith Prince; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at Baptist Tabernacle Church. Interment will follow the service in the Wall Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 19, from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. The family requests that everyone dress in casual attire.
