William Brian Shew, Sr.

William Brian Shew, Sr.
October 23, 1966 – November 2, 2020

William Brian Shew was born on Oct 23,1966 in Johnston City Tennessee.  He was raised most of his childhood in Zebulon.  He graduated from Zebulon High School and attended the Art Institute of Atlanta.  Brian was a hometown boy who loved hanging out with his family and friends.   He was very light-hearted and rarely angered.  You could always find a smile on his face and a kind word to say about someone. He was very close with his family growing up.  During his teen years he suffered a great loss from the death of Ricky his brother and best friend.  He has always had part of his soul missing since the tragedy.   Brian was a very proud father of two sons, Brian Jr, and Noah.  He helped provide for his family through his business “Quality Renovations”.  He expressed his artistic talents in his work.  He completed several historic renovations in Raleigh that showcased his ability. Brian was always willing to give a helping hand to his family and friends.  He did custom trim for his sister, Jackie, while constructing a new home. Brian loved his mother very much.  He appreciated everything she did for him during his lifetime.  He also enjoyed being an uncle.  His niece, Peyton said he was always the adult that sat with the kids during Christmas and joked around.  He was a kid at heart and enjoyed the holidays.

Brian was also a proclaimed Christian.  He had given his life to god and recently reclaimed his faith.  The family is suffering enormous grief from the passing of Brian, but we find great comfort knowing he will be moving to a better place joining Jesus.  We also know he will have a joyous reunion with Ricky and all the loved ones that have left the earth before him.

In addition to his mama, Mrs. JoRita Davis (Edward), he is survived by his children, Brian Shew, Jr. (Allison) of Benson and Noah Shew of Garner; siblings, Jackie Robertson (Roy) of Zebulon and Joey Wilkins of Knightdale.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, calls, emails, messages and thoughts sent by so many during this difficult time.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020, 11:00 am at Zebulon Town Cemetery, Intersection 598 N. Whitley St. and Cemetery Rd., Zebulon, NC 27597.  Available for viewing at www.facebook.com/stricklandfuneral. My sincere sympathy and prayers to the family of Brian. I met Brian many years ago and saw how talented he was in carpentry. Family, friends, we never know how much time we have on earth but I was blessed by knowing Brian in business. May you be comforted to know that he was thought of today by those who knew him and prayers were offered for you.
