WILLIAM “BILLY” F. TANT, SR.
August 11, 1936 – May 20, 2013
ZEBULON – William “Billy” Frazier Tant, Sr., 76, died Monday. A native of Durham County he was son to the late Thomas Earl & Lula Gray Pace Tant. He attended Wakelon High School, and worked for Westinghouse later ABB. He served for 30 years in the National Guard. Billy loved people and was a wonderful wood worker.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; Linda Andrews Tant of the home, children; William Frazier Tant, Jr. (Amy Jo) of Wendell, Sylvia Cathey (Roger) of Blowing Rock, Sandra Liverman (C.J.) of Bailey, siblings; Hazel Boykin of Zebulon, Jimmy Tant (Kathy) of Archer Lodge, Norma Chamblee (James) of Gainesville, FL, and grandchildren; James Liverman, Daniel Liverman, Katie Birchfield, Beth Tant, & Rick Tant.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Wendell Baptist Church, Building Fund, PO Box 187, Wendell, NC, 27591.
Visitation 2-3 pm, Thursday, Wendell Baptist Church with service to follow at 3. Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
