William “Bill” Tryon Kelly

KNIGHTDALE- William “Bill” Tryon Kelly, 80, unexpectedly departed this life on August 12, 2023. The Wake County native was born to the late William Tryon and Elizabeth Mills Kelly. For 6 years, Bill honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp. After his service, Bill, who was a builder, eventually retired from Carolina Builders. In his spare time, Bill took much pride and pleasure in keeping up with the appearance of his house and his yard. When time allowed, he also love planting vegetables in his garden. Although his physical presence is no longer, Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, honor and dedication to his family and his country. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Midgette.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy Kelly, his daughter, Jennifer Kelly Gallo (Jason) his brother, Danny Prince and other close family members.
