WENDELL – Wayne Thomas Sasser, 61, died Tuesday. He was a native of Wake County. Wayne loved being outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, and especially flowers. He was a man of strong and unending faith.
Funeral service 11 am, Thursday, Baptist Tabernacle Church. Interment, church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Bailey Sasser of the home, children, Kimberly Sasser of Princeton, and Brandy Sasser of Durham, parents, James & Hazel Hollifield Sasser of Wendell, siblings, Terry Sasser ( Sandra) of Yadkinville, Ricky Sasser (Robin) of Smithfield, & Connie Norris (Kelly) of Wendell, grandchildren, Mario Jr., Brandon, Olivia, & Cameron, step children, Kimberly Jeffreys (Jamie) of Zebulon, & Christopher Wood of Middlesex, and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers or memorials to the American Heart Association are welcomed.
