ZEBULON – Wanda Boykin Tyson, 58, died Thursday. She was born in Wake County. She worked at Deans Oil in Wendell. She loved her children & grandchildren with all her heart. Wanda enjoyed fishing, the beach, & her dogs. She was preceded in death by her father, James “J.W.” Wilton Boykin, & niece Nikki Parker.

Funeral 2 pm, Monday, Social Plains Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Jessica Harris (Lee)of Louisburg, David Price of CA, mother, Annette Batchelor Boykin, siblings, Michael Boykin (Terry) of Zebulon, Anthony Boykin (Lulu) of Huntersville, Denise Parker (Roger) of Zebulon, grandchildren, Stephen Perry & Shayla Harris.

Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Social Plains Baptist Church Women on Missions fund.

    I’m so sorry for the families lose. I worked on the Boykin farm with Wanda many years ago. Fond memories of the entire family. Good people!
