Walter “Sam” Benard Pearce
July 20, 1931 – January 23, 2019
WENDELL – Walter “Sam” Benard Pearce, 87, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was born in Johnston County to the late Joseph Dave & Mary Lelar Carroll Pearce. Sam was a farmer all his life. He will be remembered for being himself & his decorated Ford
truck. He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Pearce, siblings, Millard Pearce, Lucille Hinnant, Estelle Johnson, Lois Adams, & Madis Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Lisa Pearce, grandson, Shannon Dale Pearce & wife Shellie Marshburn Pearce, great grandchildren, Harper Gray Pearce, Baylor Brooks Pearce, & sister, Edna Privette.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
Graveside service 11 am, Saturday, Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with visitation 9:30 am – 10:30 am, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.

My sympathies to his family. May God comfort your sorrow. I remember him and his truck, from when I lived in Wendell.
