Virginia (Jenny) May Wilcox (Benson), 71, of Knightdale, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Virginia was preceded by her parents Mary and Otis Pople. Virginia is survived by sons Stuart (Dallas) Benson and Ryan (Kimberly) Benson and brother Donald Denton. Also surviving Virginia are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Virginia was born in Kewanee, Illinois on October 31,1948. Virginia loved to read her Bible and books, lots of books. She would go to the library and come back with ten books and have them read usually within thirty days. Virginia also enjoyed music, science fiction movies, and going for drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Virginia enlisted in the Air Force in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1972. Virginia married Steve in 1972 in Shreveport, Louisiana and moved to south Florida.
Virginia was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Virginia will be remembered for her kind, generous, unselfish ways. She had unconditional love for his family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and always tried to make others feel loved and important.
