Veronica Murray Howell
May 23, 1950 – April 10, 2021
Veronica Murray Howell of Zebulon passed away peacefully on April 10, 2021 and is now rejoicing with her Lord and Savior.
Veronica was a kind, elegant and charming southern lady, who loved to read and found the most joy when she was surrounded by her family. She had the ability to make anyone feel special.
She is survived by her sons: Freddy Howell and wife, Kesha of Zebulon, Chad Howell of Williamston. Two granddaughters: Hannah and Sarah, both of Zebulon. Freddie Howell of Zebulon is the father of her children. She is also survived by her sister, Marsha Murray Creech and husband, George of Zebulon.
Veronica is preceded in death by her sister Cynthia Murray Boyette of Garner.
A graveside service will be held April 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon. The family will receive friends and family at their home on Massey Road, Zebulon. Expressions of sympathy are welcome and in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Middlesex Children’s Home.
The family would like to extend immense gratitude for all the prayers and support they have received over the last several weeks, especially to her caretakers: Emma Jones and Transitions.

My deepest condolences to the Howell and Murray family. Veronica was in deed the epitome of a southern lady. I had the pleasure of working with Veronica at the Department of Correction and maintaining a lifetime friendship thereafter. She will be truly missed. I offer up my prayers for her family’s strength.
