ZEBULON – Sylvia Hodge Brandt, a beloved mother and grandmother who passed on from this life at the age of 90, leaving an amazing legacy for those who follow to carry on. Sylvia was born in Wake Co. to the late Emmett Ward Hodge & Ruby Skipper. Sylvia looked on life as an opportunity to teach and encourage others. Her tremendous zest for life spilled over onto others, as they often leaned on to her for that support and her wisdom. She was an avid reader, an incredible seamstress, but more importantly, an extremely humbled soul. Her love for others was second to none, especially to her grandchildren, and was always genuinely on display to be seen and felt. Her passion to leave this world a better place than she found it was a task she certainly fulfilled. The love she shared with all that knew her is sure to stand the test of time. Along with her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her children, Patricia K DeBraal, Joseph Lambeth Jr. and her grandson, Scott Stancil.

Funeral service will be at 3:00PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, located at 3000 E. Garner Rd., Raleigh NC with visitation from 1:30PM to 3:00PM prior to service. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
