WENDELL – Stanford Eugene Alford, 67, passed away on Sunday, May 2nd, 2021. He was born in Wake County to Ralph & Joyce Alford. He worked as an Extruder Operator for ITW Hi-Cone. He LOVED BLUEGRASS MUSIC.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 45 years, Edna Grey Barnes of the home, mother, Joyce Alford, daughters, Joy Alford Evans of Lucama, Hope Alford of Kenly, brother, Dale Alford (Kim) of Corinth Holders, grandchildren, Joseph Evans, Austin Pendergraft, nephew, Tim Alford (Paige), Raleigh and several aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Funeral service 2 pm, Thursday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St, Wendell. Visitation 12:30-2 pm, prior to the service. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. We are so sorry to hear about Stan. I will never forget Larry and I almost carrying him into the boat for the Christmas party in Wilmington. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. .
Edna, So sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. He was a joy to work with at Hi-Cone. Stan could always make us smile and lift our spirts when we were down. Our prayers are with you and the girls.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with him at Hi-Cone. We loved to talk bluegrass music. Enjoyed our time at Bass Mountain. Prayers are with the family.
