Shirley “Nanny” Massey passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2023. She was a dedicated wife, mother and Nanny and took pride in her occupation in each of these roles and was one of the BEST at them.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, BB Massey, of sixty-nine years. Her children, Tommy (Theresa Upchurch, fiancé), and Joy (Mike) Jackson. She is preceded in death by her daughter Angie Heath. As a passionate animal lover, Shirley also considered her dachshund, Abigail, as one of her children.
She was a loving grandmother, “Nanny”, to Ann, Bobby, Stephanie, Henry and Harry and great-grandmother to four.
Shirley’s remains will be buried in the Massey Family Cemetery, Zebulon, NC.

My love and prayers to all of the family. .Shirley Belle and I grew up together in our early childhood We use to swing on her front porch and sing ” Heaven “. Now she has gone there. I am sorry for your loss. She was a great lady.
