Sheila Lynn Abner DuBose
November 2, 1958 – January 19, 2025
Sheila Lynn Abner DuBose, 66, Went to her heavenly rest late Sunday afternoon. She was born in Ohio to the late Raleigh Alben & Joyce McMurray Abner. She worked for the NC Department of Corrections where she was a nurse. She loved her family and had a brilliant smile and personality. Sheila will be remembered and cherished by those whom she loved and who loved her. She was steadfast in her faith and led her life according to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by brothers, Richie Abner and Greg Abner.
She is survived by her children, Danielle Andrews and Travis Raleigh DuBose (Fiancé Heidi Whitley); siblings, Michael Abner, Kim Denby (James), and Rhonda Abner; and grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Joshua, Taelyn, & Travis, Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jimmy Swaggart ministries.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St. Wendell. The family will speak with friends following the service. www.stricklandfuneral.com

I would like to send my sincerest condolences to Danielle and Travis. I know they both meant everything to her, my prayers are with everyone in the family, she was a very kind lady. John 11:25-26
She was an amazing woman friend mother and mother in law. I am going to miss her very much. I send my love and condolences to the family and her children. She taught me a lot about life. I thank her for raising a great amazing son Travis who I love dearly.
