Ronnie Strother Perry
October 20, 1945 – September 8, 2025
ZEBULON – Ronnie Strother Perry, 79, passed away peacefully in the care of his family on September 8, 2025. He was born and raised in Wake County and was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Argro & Mildred Strother Perry, and his sister, Fran Cash.
Ronnie was a hard working man and retired from UPS with greater than 30 years of service. He also farmed his family land and enjoyed cutting grass and tending to his homeplace. Taking his grandchildren to school and picking them up brought him great joy and he was a tireless caregiver to his mother in her elder years. He was a wonderful provider who often did without, always putting his family first to make sure that they lacked for nothing. While his family is heartbroken, they are confident that he is in the loving arms of Jesus and his body is healed.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Carolyn Denton Perry; his daughters, Rhonda Alford (Jimmy) and Jessica Bailey (Tim); his grandchildren, Drew Alford (Kathryn), McKenzie Driver (Alex), Jillian Carroll and Skylar Carroll; his great grandchild, Hayes Driver and his siblings, Basil Perry and Sandra Johnson.
The family would like to express special thanks to Liberty Hospice staff, Krissy and Remi. Their presence provided compassionate guidance and comfort during their brief but meaningful time with us.
Visitation will be held from 7:00pm to 8:30pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory of Wendell NC. A private funeral service will be held at a later time per his final wishes.
Arrangements are entrusted to Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, NC 27591. www.stricklandfuneral.com
