I am saddened with the news of Mr. Thompson’s passing. I remember my father always talking about his dealings with Mr. Thompson when he worked at First Union National Bank in Wendell. He was admired and trusted by my family. I am praying that his family and friends find peace and comfort during this time.
I will miss his huge bear hugs and laughter!
Ronald came to Wendell with an attitude of service. Upon arrival, he quickly became actively involved in numerous community, civic and voluntary organizations and special events.. He served well in every aspect as he became involved in including two terms as a commissioner on the Wendell Town Board. His biggest asset was he knew how to be a friend, not just in word but in deed. Once he was your friend, he remained a friend for life. As a business man, he gave back to the community more than he received. While he enjoyed life to the fullest, he likewise prepared for life eternal. So today he is at rest without pain and suffering and with his eye sight restored to see the heavenly beauty.
