Robert Kent Carter
August 24, 1951 – December 18, 2023

MIDDLESEX – Robert Kent Carter, 72, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family whom he loved unconditionally. He was born in Wilson County, to the late Robert Lee and Dallie Massey Carter. In 1969, Kent graduated from the first class of Southern Nash High School in Bailey, NC. He was a versatile tradesman, his talents were diverse and resourceful. He was an expert in the value of hard work. This drove him to be the “jack of all trades” for which he was known for. Any problem, any leak, any missing part… He was the one to call. His experience falls in the construction field, farming, carpentry, landscaping, fishing and anything else he put his mind to. He carried an eye for detail and kept a very patient, slow and steady pace, earning him the nickname “Lightning”. His life was full of love; loving what he did and the people he did it with. His legacy lives on in his family and those whose lives he touched with his heart of gold, quick wit and infectious smile.
