    Dear Dot-
I knew Robert since his banking days and always enjoyed his wit and humor. We met often at the
post office and kidded each other all the time. My sympathy to you and the family.

I always loved as a young kid and through high school walking into the bank to see this wonderful man. He always had time to stop and find out how life was going for you. He honestly cared for everyone that walked through the bank doors.

Dot, Greg, Doug and Robert’s loving sisters, grand children and great grand children,
I would like to name all who loved Robert like family but all who knew him loved him. He was the most special man I have ever known and Phyllis and I miss his presence and special friendship. Our children thought of Robert as the most special uncle and loved his love and caring for them. There are so many memories to share and never forget. We join you in celebrating the life of Robert. Hugs to all.

Al and I are so so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. He was a kind soul. We fondly remember Jeannette’s stories of their escapades while carpooling to NCSU. We are praying for peace and comfort.

I was heartbroken when I heard that Robert had passed. I worked with him at NC State. He was a great friend and gave me council during my early years. Like many have said, I don’t think anyone who knew him that didn’t love him. His calm demeanor and sense of humor were greatly appreciated. The world needs more Roberts. Prayers for Dot and his family.

All that knew him were blessed and those that did not, what a pity. What a wonderful, caring human being. I will miss knowing he is not around….but know he is in a better place.
