RANDY A. GAY
August 23, 1952 – July 8, 2012
ZEBULON – Randy Angus Gay, 59, died Sunday. He was a native of Wake County. Randy was a unique & one of a kind man who was always quick to help and give to others. He loved life and was well liked and remembered by those he met, never meeting a stranger. Randy was a lifelong farmer & former dry cleaner. He enjoyed the outdoors and working with the land he prepared & planting his crops from season to season while spending many hours on his tractor. His second home was at the beach where he enjoyed the wind in his hair, the sand under his feet, & the feel of the sun on his face. He was preceded in death by his father, Angus Wilton Gay.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Johnson Gay, son, Jordan Angus Gay, mother, Hilda Gay, siblings, Anthony “Andy” Wilton Gay, Sr. (Laura), and Cheryl Gay Lanier (Robert), all of Zebulon, and nieces, nephews, great nieces & a great nephew.
Funeral service 1 pm, Wednesday, Zebulon Baptist Church. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
