Rachel Ann Strickland Cone

September 26, 1934 – February 22, 2021

MIDDLESEX – Rachel Ann Strickland Cone, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Monday. She was born in Nash County to the late L.C. & Addie Brantley Strickland. She dedicated many years to her career as an Engineer at Southern Bell and later went on to retire from AT&T. She was a kind, charming, elegant, and loving Southern lady. She was loved by many and will be missed by them all. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn Bug Cone.

She is survived by her nieces & nephews, Ina Cariveau of Middlesex, NC, Robbie (Rena) Price of Middlesex, NC, Gentry Price of Middlesex, NC, Jennifer (Johnny) Horne of Middlesex, NC, Rodney (Kim) Edwards of Chicago, IL, and sister-in-law, Margie Strickland of Middlesex, NC.
