Philip Harlene Barnes
September 14, 1936 – July 11, 2022
Philip Harlene Barnes, 85, died peacefully July 11, 2022, with his son by his side. A lifelong native of Archer Lodge, he was the son of Edgar Harlene Barnes and Magdalene Richardson Barnes. Philip enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a hard-working man and provider for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Ann Barnes, and brother, George Arthur Barnes.
He is survived by his son, Pete Barnes (Ellen), sister, Phyllis Barnes Creech (Joe); grandchildren, Yvonne Beasley (Ben); Blake Barnes (Rachel); great grandchildren, Shelby and Spencer.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to SECU Hospice House, Smithfield.
Graveside service 10 am, Thursday, White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pete and Family. I am so very sorry to hear about Phillip passing. He was a wonderful cousin and I will miss talking to him. He was always so very proud of you, Ellen, Yvonne and Blake and the grandchildren. Love to you ALL!!
