March 18, 1954 – June 9, 2024

Michael Scott Mager, 70, passed on from this life leaving heavy hearts in those he loved most. He was born in St. Lawrence Co., of New York to Albert Henry Mager & Nancy Elizabeth Desreis Mager. Professionally, Michael owned his own business as a stone mason. Mikes started All Breed Rescue and dedicated himself to rescuing dogs in need for over 33yrs. He created a lasting legacy of love, commitment and dedication, not only to the things he enjoyed doing but more importantly to his family. The joyous smiles his mere presence would bring, the safety his family felt when he was near and the ability to be embraced by him no longer exists but his memory will be cherished in the minds and hearts of the many people and animals his life impacted. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Nancy Mager and his sister, Kathy Mager.     

Michael was survived by his life partner of nearly 30 years, Deborah Provan; his brothers, Andrew Mager and Chris Mager; his step daughters, Jackie and Jessica, along with several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. 

A celebration of life to commemorate the incredible man he was will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to Red Barn Rescue in Clayton NC

    My heart is broken for all of you, such a kind soul that will never be forgotten by his life long friends from Canton, New York where he was from. May he finally RIP, and may your memories help to ease the pain and sadness God Speed
