Vikki and I were Appalachian State College buddies. We’ve kept up with each other since the first day of our junior year. We got closer after she had Melanie. She and Thomas knew they had a long and difficult journey ahead, but with God’s help and a lot of caring family, friends, church members, hospital staff, care givers and her wonderful school they provided a wonderful, loving home to their Angel, Melanie. The love was so incredibly deep between them all including Granny who loved Mel dearly. Mark and I feel so blessed to have known Melanie since she was a baby.. I myself am a Gunsmoke fan and would always immediately think of Mel as soon as it came on. I loved to text and ask if they were watching Festus. Mel is in the arms of Jesus now waiting on her parents and oh what a wonderful reunion that will be.
