October 20, 1935 – August 18, 2024
SELMA – Maurice Wilber Gordon is now at eternal rest and has found peace at the age of 88. He was born St. Lawrence Co. to the late Alfred & Marjorie LaJoy Gordon. Maurice proudly served his country in the US Army. He also found much joy spending time with his family, playing cards and even camping. His presence will be missed but there is great joy in knowing he is now with his Lord & Savior.
Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Corinth Baptist Church, located at 13450 NC Hwy 96, Zebulon NC. The family will speak with friends after the service.
Maurice is survived by the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Hilda Mae Price Gordon; his children, Donald Boykin, Sandra Lynn Boykin, Gwendolyn Jo Hardenbergh (John), and Linda Reed.
Flowers welcome or memorial contributions can be made to Corinth Baptist Church or to Liberty Hospice.
