Mary Susan Baker
January 6, 1955 – January 23, 2025
BUNN – Mary Susan Baker, age 70, transitioned from this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025, before she could begin her journey battling the newly discovered cancer. A native of Franklin Co., Susan was born January 6, 1955, to the late Jimmie Baker and Chloe Mae Pearce. Susan kept a tight circle but if she ever took a liking to you, she loved you from that moment forward. If you ever encountered her, you would notice that she often wore a smile some would describe as “devilish.” Rest assured, there was never any malice intended. Susan loved her family and her legacy will live forever in the memories of those she leaves behind. In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her son, Brian Thomas Peardon.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1581 Bethlehem Church Rd., Youngsville, NC 27596. Interment will take place immediately following the service in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Larry Penny; daughter, Erica Lumley (Taylor); grandchildren, Lynzie Penny, Kacey Peardon, Kat Peardon, Zach Peardon, Xavier Peardon, Mackenzie Peardon, Hunter Peardon and Alex Peardon; brothers, Graham Baker (Donna) and Russell Baker.
The family will receive friends for Visitation from 4:30pm – 6:00pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, NC 27591
